Admissions Process

Step 1:

Submit your BFS Application & FACTS Financial Assessment

Please note: your application is not complete until both your BFS Application and FACTS Financial Assessment are submitted. FACTS is an outside agency that assesses the amount families have available toward their children’s education. FACTS charges $30 for this financial assessment. If families choose to opt out of completing a FACTS assessment*, they are committing to paying max tuition: $30,000 for our Lower School (Pre-K - 6th Grade), and $33,000 for our Upper School (7th - 12th Grade). 

*Families that receive public assistance may submit proof of aid rather than complete a FACTS assessment.

Step 2:

Student Visit

Within two weeks of your BFS Application and FACTS Financial Assessment submission, a member of our Enrollment Team will contact you to schedule a visit for your child. 

Step 3:


Following your child’s visit, families are invited to sit with a member of our Enrollment Team to discuss the visit and learn more about BFS. This is a chance to ask questions and get to know the school better! 

Step 4:

Enrollment Notification

Our Enrollment Team evaluates applications based on a weighted criteria rubric. Our rubric is adjusted each year according to the breakdown of our returning student body and is used to determine the spaces and resources we have available to offer new applicants. 

Enrollment notifications for the 2019-20 school year will begin in January 2019.
