The Loft at Pier A Harbor House
Previous Galas have welcomed the participation of over 100 local businesses and community leaders, raising critical funds in a single evening that sustain our diverse community and help support various school initiatives throughout the year.
Proceeds from the Gala support our unique sliding-scale tuition program, allowing over 90% of our students to receive subsidized access to our day school program.
We are excited to welcome Anastasia Higginbotham & Anaelechi Owunwanne as this year’s honorees!
Anastasia Higginbotham, a BFS parent, is the author and illustrator of the first children’s book to center racism as a problem of whiteness, Not My Idea: A Book About Whiteness. Anaelechi Owunwanne is the founder of Freeform Deform, an architecture firm committed to the use of design to enhance all aspect of everyday life. Both of them are outstanding individuals who exemplify the philosophy “Small is All” in their lives and in their work.
