Brooklyn Free School Teacher Institutes are 3-day or 5-day experiential workshops for pre-K through 12th grade educators and school leaders.

"Teaching About Slavery and Resistance with a Social Justice Lens"

  • Reflect on your personal relationship to race and learning about slavery

  • Discuss curriculum development and social justice principles with colleagues

  • Gather resources to support ongoing learning and culminating projects

  • Create curriculum you can use with your students next year that is accurate, age-appropriate, and anti-racist

To receive 3 credits, Public School Teachers must register with ASPDP and also complete Brooklyn Free School's online registration above.

  • $650 Early Bird Discount (register by June 14)

  • $750 General Registration (after June 14)

  • $350 Student & Public School Teacher Rate
