A Day In The Life

In the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year, our school voted to allow two independent filmmakers (Kenneth Chu and Diana Ecker) to embed themselves within Brooklyn Free School for one year. Throughout a politically charged year, their aim was to make a documentary film that focused on the everyday lives and emotional realities of how an extremely diverse community of Pre-K-12 students govern their own education and one another. Watch a visual sample of their independent film above, which captures a day in the life at BFS!
